E-recycling services for cost-effective WEEE disposal

Conveyor belt transferring dismantled electronics for recycling

Over the past few years, Sims Recycling Solutions has invested heavily in technologically advanced mechanical processing facilities for the recovery and recycling of e-waste such as printers, monitors and TVs. These operations deliver economies of scale, enabling us to meet legislative requirements such as the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Directive, whilst maximising commodity recovery rates for materials such as steel, copper, ABS and glass on behalf of our customers.

These include a CRT processing facility in Echt, Netherlands and the world’s largest fridge recycling plant in Newport, South Wales. Our operations in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden and the UK provide you with a comprehensive Western European recycling facility network, capable of processing over 300,000 tonnes of WEEE each year. With partnerships in several other European states, Sims Recycling Solutions can offer you an unrivalled network of pan-European recycling facilities.

Consumer durables such as computer monitors, televisions, small domestic appliances including hi-fi equipment and microwave ovens plus business equipment such as IT and medical devices can be recovered for materials recycling.

Media such as computers, phones and network equipment can be processed for component recovery or recycling.

Sims Recycling Solutions offer three main recycling services.
