Sims Recycling Solutions announces acquisition in Austria

Metrade is located in the very East of Austria, within easy reach of Vienna. This provides good access to the rapidly developing industrial areas of Hungary, Slovakia, and Slovenia. These countries are amongst the fastest developing in Eastern Europe and Metrade has already made excellent inroads into their emerging markets.

Metrade was founded by Mr Friedrich Seidl as a trading company for non-ferrous metals in 2004. In 2007, Metwork was formed as a specialist electronics recycling operation to augment the Metrade business. Mr Seidl said of the acquisition: “This is an exciting prospect for the Metrade and Metwork businesses. The acquisition was completed on 15 February 2011. Sims Recycling Solutions welcomes Mr. Seidl and all the employees of Metrade and Metwork to the company.
