Sims Recycling Solutions is the world’s largest electronic recycling company, with operations on five continents, including a wide and growing presence in Europe, where we process over 350,000 tonnes of e-waste annually.
We specialise in large scale mechanical processing of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), such as laptops, computer monitors and vacuum cleaners, recovering commodities including metals, plastics and glass for recycling.
Sims Recycling Solutions also dismantles and recycles or refurbishes and remarkets technology assets such as computers, servers and phones on behalf of manufacturers and businesses. Compliance scheme operators are also serviced with procedures in place for retrieving components for spare parts and recycling units such as computer peripherals.
Recent European Union legislation such as the WEEE Directive has combined with increasing corporate environmental and CSR concerns to create a growing demand for cost-effective and eco-friendly recovery and recycling services. Waste electronic equipment is Europe’s largest growing waste challenge.
Unlike many WEEE recyclers, Sims Recycling Solutions has the infrastructure to produce tested re-usable products or recovered material commodities entirely within Europe. This prevents the export of hazardous materials to developing nations that do not operate to our high environmental and health and safety standards.

These include specialist services for fridge recycling – we operate the largest fridge recycling plant in the world, monitor and television CRT (cathode ray tube) dismantling and toner cartridge recycling.
